just got my dervish to level 20---without dying mind you, so level 1 survivor for her (my poor baby boy necro got it in the last noob mission on factions starter island.....dang spirit rift has taken 2 of my survivor wannabes now!).

in other news..... I still hate my bank.....
I need food----my frig is mostly condiments right now.....
gas prices are horrible
in good news---the temps outside have let me turn off both my heater and ac! so I am saving a few pennies this week (and I have the lights off since the light from the balcony is bright enough).
and I am awake far earlier than I wanted to be today

Empathy is ok, Power Spike = good for PvE, Necrosis, seriously overpowered, CoP to conditional, E.burn = lackluster damage compared to regen, Ether Nighmare, to expensive, E.Surge same as E.burn

hmm, you should go like this, 8+1 FC 12+1+1 Dom rest in inspiration

[Empathy][Power Spike][Auspicious incantation][Shame][Mistrust][Expel Hexes][Shatter Enchant][Resurrection Chant]

if necro substitute res chant wit res sig, the build tells it self, AI before Shatter though, and the rest you should know :P

it does what a mesmer does best, shutdown.

PvE is easy. <3 PvE. Though I do like to PvP for a challenge and to keep my skill level up. (lolz, skill level, ya right) PvE is win.

[ether nightmare] is the start of the spike. (Yes, I spike with my mesmer. I know it's ridiculous, but I don't want to roll an ele.) The CoP, E-surge, then e-burn and Necrosis on the bigger foes.

Blah, I do need a better build, but most of the ones I come up with require too much thought. Maybe I do need to roll an ele, so I can get back into the game a little more.

If you want to spike using CoP, go like this, Mind Wrack, Arcane Echo, Echo, CoP, = 3 CoPs in a row.

Yeah, but it's an AoE hex is the only reason to use it.

Echo chains are good too. I'll have to try that this weekend.

yeh, you can do 300+ damage with echo chain.

It's just that so many PvE only skills makes this game so freaking easy, unfortunately

True, which is why I never bought into the whole SoI thing. Seemed a little cheap. And gimmicky.

Mainly just gimmicky.

I used SoI for awhile, I found it fun with pve only skills. But like any build it got boring and repetitive, how on earth people can go through the whole game with the same build is beyond me.
